This winter I took some personal time off to have bi-lateral knee replacements. It was quite an experience. The first two months being on a lot of pain medications and doing reams of different exercises, all I wanted to do with the rest of my time was watch TV. After the two month phase I was finally able to focus on others things even though I was still going to physical therapy 3 times a week. I decided to take on a huge project in the house.

A few months earlier I had bought some craft organizing furniture, it was sitting in our guest bedroom. It was waiting for me to do something with it, so with all this time on my hands I made a decision to organize all my beading supplies and place them in my new furniture. This was a task that really needed to be done BUT I had no idea the amount of beads I had bought over the years and hoarded. I had beads here and there, in drawers, closets, cabinets and totes. There was no end of places I had put them. I spend three weeks just searching the house for all the beads and beading supplies, THEN the real work began. I needed to sort and organize my collection of beads, this again took a few weeks but the results was worth all the effort. I can now go right to what I need for my next beading project and get started. Before being organized I would spend at least two days trying to find everything I needed to start a project. Guess what, I'll be buying more beads at our next bead show as you never have enough beads. I'll be the first one running in to see what is new and different on my new knees, ofcourse.
