It is always exciting on the first day of the show to listen to the customers talking about how they can now see and feel the beads. Seeing and touching the beads is always better then shopping on-line for me, especially when shopping for new and different beads. Some buyers have had bad experiences buying on-line and paying for an inferior quality, since they could not see the actual color or feel and see the quality of the product. We will have disgruntle customers who buys from a reputable vendor but they have now found the "same" item on-line that is one third the price BUT is this item of the same quality? Always remember that you get what you pay for. Buying on-line can be good, when you know who you are buying from. I re-order seed beads that I need and other standard beads that I use in beading and know without a doubt what I will be receiving. If you are looking for an item and you are not concerned about the quality but you need the quantity, on-line could be the right source. If you are wanting to work on a new project and you can get what you need at a show, it will save you the stress of waiting for the beads to come by mail. I do not want to leave out the vendors that we have at the show that also sell on-line, these are your reputable vendors and on many occasion I have made a re-order for the same items that I bought at the show, which has saved me searching somewhere else for what I needed. My final comment is, you should always know who you are buying from. So!!!! Happy beading and we will see you at the shows. |
